This Mobile Privacy Policy applies to the CicoPass Life mobile application, operated by Cico Concepts BV, Hoenderkamp 20, 7812 VZ Emmen, Netherlands.

Information We Collect

When a bicycle is registered through a dealer or professional partner, we may collect and process the following information:

• Name
• Email address and contact information
• Bicycle information (brand, model, frame number, key number, motor number, battery number)
• Unique CicoPass ID
• Optional purchase information
• Warranty documentation (if provided)
• Optional tag number

Purpose of Processing

The collected information is used solely for the following purposes:

• Registering and documenting ownership of bicycles
• Facilitating recovery in case of loss or theft
• Supporting proof of ownership during resale or transfer
• Providing registration-related communication when necessary
• Managing ownership transfers and dealer registrations

Legal Basis

Personal data is processed based on the explicit consent of the customer. Consent is obtained digitally through the dealer, via QR code scanning, or through a consent link sent by email before registration is completed.

Biometric Data

The CicoPass Life mobile application may process biometric information when required for identity verification, account security, or device-based authentication features supported by the user's mobile device.

Biometric data is only used for authentication and security purposes and is not sold or shared with third parties for marketing purposes.

Camera Permission

The application requires access to the device camera for:

• Scanning QR codes
• Scanning CicoPass stickers
• Capturing bicycle-related information
• Supporting registration and ownership transfer processes

Camera access is used only while performing these functions and is not used for continuous monitoring or recording.

Notification Permission

The application may request permission to send notifications in order to:

• Provide registration confirmations
• Notify users about ownership transfer requests
• Provide security-related alerts
• Inform users about important account activities
• Communicate service updates

Users may disable notifications at any time through their device settings.

Data Retention

Personal data is retained for as long as the bicycle registration remains active, or until the user requests deletion of their information, subject to any legal retention obligations.
